The “2025 Sino-German Enterprise Exchange Conference” was successfully held on the afternoon of December 4, 2025, in Putuo District. The event was organized to thoroughly implement the national “dual circulation” development strategy and high-level opening-up policy, supporting high-quality small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), particularly those characterized as “Specialized, Refined, Unique, and Innovative,” in achieving international development. It aimed to further promote in-depth collaboration between Chinese and German SMEs in key sectors such as new energy, sustainable technologies, and smart manufacturing.<\/p>\n

The conference brought together a delegation of German enterprises, along with representatives from over 30 “Specialized, Refined, Unique, and Innovative” enterprises and industrial parks in Shanghai. Participants engaged in extensive discussions on cooperation opportunities in the fields of new energy, green technologies, and smart manufacturing.<\/p>\n

Jia Mian, Director of the Shanghai Small and Medium Enterprises Development Service Center (Shanghai SME Listing Promotion Center), stated that Germany possesses distinct advantages in renewable energy, green technology, and smart manufacturing, while Shanghai excels in industrial scale, scientific research innovation, and its cluster of “Specialized, Refined, Unique, and Innovative” enterprises. Deepening cooperation between the two sides in areas such as new energy development, green and low-carbon transformation, and smart manufacturing upgrades will effectively enhance the integration of industrial and supply chains. The center will continue to leverage international exchange mechanisms and specialized service platforms to provide robust support for Shanghai’s SMEs in accessing global high-quality resources and expanding international cooperation.<\/p>\n

Mr. \u00d6zkan Mutlu, representing the German delegation, spoke highly of Shanghai’s open, inclusive, and dynamic industrial ecosystem. He noted that through this visit, the German side gained a deeper appreciation of Shanghai’s vigorous development and immense potential in fields such as smart manufacturing, artificial intelligence, digitalization, and new energy. Mr. Mutlu emphasized that China and Germany have a solid foundation for cooperation and strong complementarity. He expressed hope that this exchange would serve as a new starting point for more in-depth, practical collaboration in key industries, technological innovation, green development, and other areas, fostering mutual benefits and win-win outcomes at a higher level.<\/p>\n

Subsequently, Li Yu, head of the German delegation, provided a systematic introduction to the core business areas, technological strengths, and cooperation directions of the German enterprises within the delegation. These spanned sectors including new energy project development and operation, energy transition, green and low-carbon technologies, and smart manufacturing. During the B2B matchmaking session, Shanghai’s “Specialized, Refined, Unique, and Innovative” enterprises and German companies engaged in in-depth exchanges focusing on carbon information management, new energy and sustainable technologies, drone applications, instrumentation, smart elderly care, and rehabilitation robotics. Both sides held discussions on expanding overseas channels, technological collaboration, product application scenarios, and industrial chain synergies. On-site, preliminary cooperation intentions were reached for projects such as smart health and elderly care equipment, rehabilitation robots, and compostable material certification and compliance, laying a solid foundation for further collaboration.<\/p>\n

From January to December 2025, the Shanghai Small and Medium Enterprises Development Service Center (Shanghai SME Listing Promotion Center) organized a series of international exchange and matchmaking events. These included the “Shanghai-Singapore SME Industrial Chain Matchmaking Conference,” the “Shanghai SME International Expansion Cooperation Session \u2013 Overseas Financing and Listing Experience Exchange,” the “Shanghai-Yokohama Enterprise Exchange Conference \u00b7 Shanghai Session,” and the “Sino-German Enterprise Exchange Conference” mentioned above. Cumulatively, these activities attracted participation from over 260 enterprises. By creating targeted matchmaking scenarios, the events provided strong support for SMEs to expand into international markets and facilitate the implementation of practical cooperation, promoting higher-quality development for enterprises on the global stage.<\/p>\n
