On December 11, the Shanghai Foreign Exchange Promotion Association held its 2025 Annual General Meeting. Representatives from member organizations across various industries gathered to reflect on the achievements of the past year\u2019s collaborations and discuss plans for future development. The event was marked by a warm and pragmatic atmosphere of exchange.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of the meeting, President Yang Jie reviewed the Association\u2019s key accomplishments over the past year in areas such as building bridges for international exchange and promoting practical foreign cooperation. He also outlined clear directions for future work\u2014continuing to deepen member services and expanding the scope of exchanges.<\/p>\n

Secretary-General Zhu Lihua presented the work report of the Association\u2019s Council for 2025. The report detailed the Council\u2019s achievements over the past year in improving internal institutional systems, optimizing the membership structure, building exchange platforms, deepening multilateral cooperation and interaction, and advancing two-way exchange activities under the principle of \u201cgoing global\u201d and \u201cbringing in.\u201d<\/p>\n

Supervisor Zhou Guorong delivered the work report of the Association\u2019s Supervisory Board for 2025. The Supervisory Board conducted comprehensive oversight of the Council and the Secretariat\u2019s performance, financial operations, major decisions, and internal management to ensure the standardization, health, and sustainable development of the Association\u2019s work.<\/p>\n

Vice President Chen Lie presented a special report on member cooperation and services. The report focused on addressing the core needs of members, providing tailored services, and fostering resource integration and exchanges among members.<\/p>\n

During the interactive session on recommendations and discussions regarding the Shanghai Foreign Exchange Promotion Association’s work direction for the coming year, representatives from member organizations such as LinkedIn, Nike, Amway, and Jaguar Land Rover actively shared insights based on their development practices. They focused on the Association\u2019s key priorities for the next year and offered suggestions from various dimensions, including deepening cooperation and empowering enterprises in their international development efforts.<\/p>\n

Supervisor Zhou Guorong shared insights on topics of key interest to member organizations, particularly regarding the Belt and Road Initiative, with a special focus on the Shanghai-Singapore Comprehensive Cooperation Council mechanism. Representatives from member organizations such as Keppel, Creative Cities, Mahle, Antex, Kexida, and SOLZE PARTNERS Corporation also actively participated in the discussion. By combining their own practical experiences, they provided opinions and suggestions that served as important references for the Association in planning its key work for the coming year.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

The year 2025 marks a pivotal moment for the Shanghai Foreign Exchange Promotion Association as it redefines its positioning and embarks on a new journey! This meeting brought together representatives from various sectors to consolidate consensus and chart a clear direction, laying a solid foundation for the Association\u2019s foreign exchange efforts in the coming year. Guided by the principles of “leveraging diplomatic resources, focusing on two-way openness, and building bridges and ties,” the discussions centered on the theme of “Deepening Foreign Exchange Collaboration and Empowering Shanghai\u2019s Economic and Social Development.” Representatives from industries, enterprises, and member organizations actively contributed ideas, shared practical experiences, and engaged in lively exchanges.The work plan for the Association in 2026 is drafted based on the principle of “seeking advice from members and pooling efforts for development.” It closely aligns with Shanghai\u2019s goal of building “Five Centers” and continues to emphasize the Association\u2019s role as a bridge. The plan focuses on upgrading the service system in three key areas: deepening targeted services, expanding the dimensions of cooperation, and strengthening platform development. Moving forward, the Association will work hand in hand with its members to promote in-depth exchanges and cooperation between Shanghai and the rest of the world, fostering multifaceted foreign exchanges and building new bridges for collaboration!<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/section>\n
