The artist emphasises the importance of urban trees in the cities where most people live. When it comes to regulating urban microclimates, they are power stations – filtering air pollution, providing shade, absorbing carbon dioxide, helping to prevent flash floods, and acting as important antidotes to the urban heat island effect. Urban heat islands make cities much hotter than the surrounding rural areas. Trees foster connections between people and society by eliminating air pollution, reducing stress, and encouraging outdoor activities. Trees help us achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and improve people’s quality of life.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
