The Business France China team successfully organized the inaugural Sino-French Cosmetics Industry Meetup in Shanghai from March 16 to 17, 2026.
This event was designed to highlight French excellence in raw materials, active ingredients, and innovative solutions for the cosmetics industry. It brought together nine French companies and over 80 top-tier Chinese industry decision-makers. The meetup resulted in high-quality exchanges and clear prospects for cooperation, yielding encouraging preliminary results.

Jour 1 – Immersion au Nova Beauty TechThe first day’s activities were held at Nova Beauty Tech, a highland for beauty technology and cosmetics innovation in Shanghai. The French delegation was warmly received by the park’s operators, Mr. YU Xudong, General Manager of Daning Group, and Mr. LU Jiajie, Deputy General Manager, and the two sides exchanged views on gaining a deeper understanding of market trends.


In the afternoon, the series of activities for the Sino-French Cosmetics Industry Meetup continued at the Villa Basset, the Residence of the Consul General of France in Shanghai, which is also a symbol of Sino-French friendship.Mr. Joan VALADOU, Consul General of France in Shanghai, received the French delegation and Chinese guests for an exclusive product showroom presenting the innovations of French beauty companies. This was followed by a VIP networking cocktail, bringing together brand executives, distributors, investors, specialized media, and industry key opinion leaders.

The event kicked off with a strategic seminar where experts and corporate executives from China and France exchanged views on major market trends and key success factors for bilateral cooperation.In a positive atmosphere of exchange, the participants conducted in-depth discussions and subsequently took part in a series of B2B one-on-one meetings organized by Business France to further explore cooperation opportunities and promote the implementation of initial collaborations.
