On the 22nd of this month, China Construction Bank Zurich Branch, together with Shanghai SME Development Service Centre (SMEDC) and Shanghai Creative City Technology Development Company Limited (SCCTD), organised a Sino-Swiss SME Cooperation and Matchmaking Activity in Zurich. The purpose of this event is to promote Sino-Swiss enterprise exchange, technological cooperation, promote RMB cross-border investment, and link Chinese innovative ‘small giant’ enterprises with Swiss investors.

The event was held at the Zurich Branch of China Construction Bank, and 12 Swiss and European financial companies and investment institutions, including Swiss Life, Tavis Capital, Bellecapital AG, etc., participated in the event. At the beginning of the event, Mr Damian Wood, Head of Treasury and Financial Institutions Department, China Construction Bank Zurich Branch, delivered a welcome speech, followed by an introduction of the investment environment in Shanghai, China, by Mr Wang Leyi, Head of the delegation of Shanghai Specialised Specialised New Enterprises (SSNEs) and Managing Director of Shanghai Creative City Technology Development Co. Brayton Technology and Shanghai Biren Technology Co., Ltd. presented their cutting-edge technologies and market potential in the fields of clean energy and high-end intelligent computing to the Swiss investors.

The event not only provided Swiss investors with the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the Chinese market, but also provided a platform for ‘small giant’ enterprises to develop their international vision and capital market. China Construction Bank also indicated that it will continue to support the development of SMEs, strengthen cross-border financial services, and help enterprises expand their business in the global market. At the end of the event, participants had an open exchange and Q&A session to further deepen the communication and understanding between the two sides.
